Rapunzel Creative was tapped to develop a completely new website, from navigation to written content, for an established catering and reception hall in northern New Jersey. The owner’s goal was to simplify and clearly communicate his offerings and pricing to improve the customer experience. The venue’s clientele is largely Spanish speaking, with 85% of parties serving the Latino community, often for quinceañera and sweet 16 parties.

The Rapunzel Creative team reconfigured navigation, designed new website pages, and rewrote the copy to optimize for relevant search terms and to be more competitive in the crowded NJ and NY metro market. The new website design:

• Spells out the reception hall’s event packages and pricing
• Has a translation interface for Spanish content
• Details all the services and amenities
• Showcases the various types of events it hosts
• Features beautiful photography of the space and parties

The website launched in February 2023.

Results

The client has reported that within the first month of the website launch, the average number of tours per week has nearly tripled and the booking rate has doubled from 20% to 40%. The inquiries the owner is receiving about booking the ballroom have higher purchase intent as well.

“We are getting many more inquiries and they are more serious in nature, which in turn is yielding more tours,” reports owner Jim Robbins, owner of Garden Vista Ballroom. “Clients are now able to easily work through the website, read what’s available, and those who are in the event planning stage are then calling to meet with our coordinators and tour the premises.”

The new website offers content in both English and Spanish to make it easier for visitors to learn about what’s available in the reception packages, creating a smoother buyer’s journey and leading to more tour appointments.

Additionally, Jim notes that he is now reaching a much broader geographic area than Passaic County, where the party venue is located. He is getting phone calls from Union and Rahway in Union County, Jersey City in Hudson County (in New Jersey) and as far away as the Bronx, New York.
